Why Is Quality Is Preferred Essay - 1757 Words

For the duration of my high school years in academic writing courses, it was always apparent that teachers valued not of what you had written, but more of the length of your papers were done in. Over the college course of English 5A, it became evident that our papers are view upon the quality of work done, rather than the amount written. Even though we are expected to write a substantial amount of pages in a given assignment, I became aware that my professor’s value the quality rather than quantity. When focusing on the quality of a paper, you re paying attention to the depth of your ideas, structures, and how your ideas have credible sources to back them up. This is what will be concentrating on in this essay. It will examine my ideas of why quality is preferred, through examples and supportive views from other credible sources like Penrod and Huffington Posts. Childhood obesity has nearly doubled in the past 30 years. Being obese is classified as having an excess amount of body fat. Obesity in children has detrimental effects. Children who experience obesity are more likely to suffer from different health effects such as cardiovascular disease, various cancers, diabetes and much more. Besides these obvious health factors, being overweight can also lead to children being teased, which can lead to children having a negative self image. Self-image is crucial when you are a developing child. The various forms of media that continuously tell people how they should look can easily affect one’s self-image. The obesity rate will continue to grow if no action is taken. To conquer obesity in adolescence we must figure out a way to tackle this huge problem, and changes must be made. In order to save our children from bad health and to protect their self-image we must promise to help them fight obesity.
